Croatia call up EIGHT Serie A players for Russia 2018 qualifier

If anybody needed any further proof that the influx of Balkan talent into Italian football is a good thing, the following tidbit should surely be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Croatia Coach Ante Cacic has just announced the squad that he will employ for his country's opening Russia 2018 qualifier against Turkey at home, and it includes eight Serie A players.

Milan Badelj and Nikola Kalinic (Fiorentina) will be partnered by Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic of Inter, as well as Mario Mandzukic and Marko Pjaca of Juventus.

Among the lesser-known elements, Ivan Strinic of Napoli and Ivan Vargic (Lazio) bring up the rear.
