Could Juan Cuadrado return to Chelsea?
The Colombia International was sidelined after Massimiliano Allegri’s decision to swap Juve to 3-5-2, though he had had a good start to the season, reaching the pick of his form while Juventus had been struggling in Serie A.
As calciomercato.com’s Serie A pundit Gianluca Minchiotti reports, it seems that Cuadrado is not a priority for Juventus, so much so he could return to Chelsea at the end of the current campaign.
Juventus and Chelsea have not officially agreed a buy-out clause to make Cuadrado’s move to the Stadium permanent, though they are rumored to have reach a gentleman agreement over the player’s transfer.
Juventus, in fact, agreed to pay € 27 million to sign the player on a permanent basis last summer, while they are believed to had recently persuaded Chelsea to lower their requests for the 27-year-old winger who can now join the Stadium for a fee in the region of € 20 million.
Trouble is, the player’s price-tag is still too expensive for the Old Lady who would prefer to make Cuadrado move permanent for € 10-15 million, otherwise they’d be ready to send the player back to Stamford Bridge.
