Could Inter sell Ever Banega in January?

Inter midfielder Ever Banega is failing to impress for the nerazzurri in the first part of the 2016-17 campaign. The Argentinean star joined the Meazza hierarchy as a free agent last summer and many thought that he would have been a terrible addition in terms of quality for the Serie A giants.

Banega, however, has failed to live up to expectations and although he has been delivering convincing performances in technical terms, he has struggled when he has been tasked with defensive duties.

Inter new boss Stefano Pioli is in desperate need of balance and, in this moment, the likes of Marcelo Brozovic and Geoffrey Kondogbia can provide more cover than the former Sevilla star.

Banega, 28, was replaced in the 24th minute of the second half by Felipe Melo yesterday and even the mediocre Brazilian midfielder was able give more cover to Inter’s defence than the Argentinean star.

Banega is not on Inter’s list of departures, but a conspicuous cash offer in January could convince the nerazzurri to sell the talented playmaker given that any offer would allow Inter to register a capital gain as Benaga signed for Inter on a free transfer last summer.
