Conti, Barreca, Milan... Inter are scouting the best of Italy's youth

Inter’s scouts are always active, especially when there’s a new Coach in town who has worked well with young players.

Now that Stefano Pioli is in town, the prospect of the Nerazzurri having the Coach who launched Felipe Anderson, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Diego Cataldi around is an exciting one.

This may explain why our sources tell us that Inter scouted four of their own country’s Under-21 talents as they faced England in Southampton four days ago.

Among the players Gigi Di Biagio called up for the 3-2 defeat, Inter were particularly interested in Mattia Caldara and Andrea Conti, the latter the subject of a lot of speculation in recent days.

Beyond the Atalanta duo, Piero Ausilio also had Adam Masina of Bologna checked out, alongside Antonio Barrecca, who is known to be on AC Milan’s radar.

Masina had a breakout season last year in Serie A, while Antonio Barreca found himself replacing, and bettering, the injured Christian Molinaro of Torino.
