Conte: ‘I don’t regret leaving Juventus’

Antonio Conte has released a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s friendly game against AC Milan answering questions over his plans to get Chelsea back on track and his past as Juventus manager.

“Being without Champions League football is a shame, because the Champions League is Chelsea’s home. We have to work hard to return in the tournament.”

“That’s true, I usually join struggling teams. If a club like Juve or Chelsea finish the previous campaign in 6th or 10th place, that means there is a problem and lot of work to do. Patience is all we need, I have no magic wand, but I know the club are after me.”

“Cuadrado is a player of Chelea, but I don’t know what can happen tomorrow. Something will happen before the end of the transfer window. Someone will join, someone else will leave. I am going to meet Montella and many other friends tomorrow. I respect AC Milan a lot, I spoke to Galliani yesterday.”

“Juventus have signed many reinforcements, they are the reference point in Italy. I am happy to see they are growing year by year, it says a lot about their objective in the Champions League. I don’t regret leaving them, I had an amazing time in Turin and with Italy national team. I don’t like thinking about what it could have been. I have no one to envy.”
