CM Sources – Valencia to open transfer talks over West Ham flop Simone Zaza

Velencia are interested in signing West Ham striker Simone Zaza, calciomercato.com has exclusively learned.
The Italian striker is doing everything but impressing with his new club as he could only play for 256 minutes (four appearances in total) scoring no goals.

Zaza joined West Ham in a loan deal with a € 20 million option to buy which is automatically activated after Zaza’s 10th appearance with the Premier League side.

The player decided to move to East London after lack of game time in the previous campaign with Juventus. The former Sassuolo ace, however, managed to become Juventus’ best striker in terms of minutes per goal ratio last term as he even netted a vital goal in the direct Serie A clash against Napoli last February.

Italy national team coach Giampiero Ventura did not call Zaza for the last two games of the azzurri and a national team call-up has always been one of the priorities of the striker who would be happy to move to Valencia.

The Spanish side have just appointed Cesare Prendelli as their new coach and the Italian boss is known to be a long time admirer of Zaza, not to mention that the Mestalla outfit did not sign a replacement for new Barcelona boy Paco Alcacer last summer.

The LaLiga side have made no contact with the Premier League side yet, but have already informed the player’s entourage about their interest and transfer talks between the two parties are expected to begin soon.
