CM EXCLUSIVE: Inter Milan ready to secure Leicester target
M.G.
As reported in the last weeks, after being considered for sell during the last transfer window, the 29-year-old midfielder Gary Medel has become a key-player for Inter Milan head coach Roberto Mancini. The former Manchester City manager has always shown confidence in the Chile international, even when everybody wanted him to be replaced by Mateo Kovacic. As reported by calciomercato.com’s expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have never made an attempt for the former Sevilla FC player, while, on the contrary, both Leicester City and Galatasaray (as part of the negotiation for the transfer to the nerazzurri of Felipe Melo) have made concrete offers. But both the Lombard club’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio and Mancini himself have decided to keep the player. Moreover, after the good performances offered during the last Copa America, also his former club Sevilla FC has shown an interest for Medel, so that in January Inter could decide to meet his agent to offer him a new contract.
