Chinese consortium wants to appoint De Boer as AC Milan’s new boss

AC Milan will announce the name of their next manager on the 1st of July. Frank De Boer is believed to have entered race for the rossoneri job. According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Ajax boss is the number one candidate of the Chinese consortium that is willing to acquire the club.

Cristian Brocchi still hopes to be confirmed (he’s Berlusconi favourite candidate), whilst Marco Giampaolo is a good compromise between the Italian and the Holland boss. Louis Van Gaal and André Villas Boas are a steps behind these three names.

In the meantime, there seems to be growing optimism over a positive end of negotiations to sell the 70% stake in the club. Both parties are open to extend the duration of the exclusive negotiation agreement which is due to expire on the 30th of June.

Fininvest and Sal Galatioto will meet again in the next few days to write an official proposal to be presented to Silvio Berlusconi who will analyze the situation and take a decision while undergoing rehabilitation after the heart surgery.
