    Chinese consortium want to buy Liverpool

    Chinese group SinoFortone wants to acquire q majority share in Liverpool, today’s edition of The Independent reports.

    According to the British paper, the state-backed Chinese consortium have offered € 880 million (£ 700 million) to complete the club’s takeover and have already presented a project which would include the building of a new stadium in the area of Liverpool’s harbour as well as improvements works for the Reds’ training ground at Melwood.

    Liverpool owner John W. Henry, however is not likely to accept the offer of SinoForte, though he could be open to see the Chinese consortium entering the club’s control room with a minority stake.
