Chievo: contact with Raiola for Balotelli
Chievo Verona are reportedly interested in signing Italian striker Mario Balotelli. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Flying Donkey’s President Luca Campdelli dined out with Super Mario and his agent Mino Raiola to try to convince them of why a move to one of Italy’s more unfashionable clubs would be a good thing. The journal also states that the patron’s trump card was that the player himself would be close to the city in which he grew up, Brescia.
A GLANCE TO AJAX
Balotelli may well think about this latest offer but his eyes are focused on Holland and in particular Ajax, who have expressed their desire to take him should they reach the group stages of the Champions League. The Dutch giants have a space in their attack after the recent sale of Milik to Napoli. Besiktas have also made enquiries but Balotelli is not interested; Chievo meanwhile, continues to dream.
