Chelsea, 45 million for Koulibaly, between the renewal and farewell at Napoli: the details
Chelsea will not let go in their pursuit of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Sky Sport in Italy claims that the Premier League club have now presented a second offer to the Blues of €45 million (£38 million) for the 25-year-old.
AWAIT A RESPONSE FROM DE LAURENTIIS
New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants the player at all costs and has asked Roman Abramovich to make an important investment in a central defender. Chelsea now awaits a response from Napoli patron De Laurentiis, still coming to terms with the loss of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus.

For his part, Koulibaly himself has reiterated his desire to leave the San Paolo having already stated through his agent that he will not renew at the club. With offers reportedly coming in on a daily basis for the highly talented defender, Chelsea are still in pole-position to get their man.Napoli will now take time to assess the new offer from the West London club as they desperately try to convince the player to stay at the San Paolo. Should they lose Koulibaly, the vesuviani will switch their attentions to Torino's Nicola Maksimovic.
