Juventus: 43.4 million euro loss and looking for a new coach
The Board of Directors met today approved at Juventus Headquarters. The Bianconeri had a loss of 43.4 million euro. This time last year, they had a profit of 14.7 million euro.
Jean-Claude Blanc has left his position and resigned as General Manager; the Board of Directors has assigned him a special role in the new stadium until 30th September 2011. Shortly afterwards, the club announced the appointment of director Aldo Mazzia as Chief Executive Officer.
Del Neri's position for next season was also discussed, buta it seems clear that Juventus are looking for a new coach. After they failed to hire Luciano Spalletti of Zenit and Roberto Mancini of Manchester City, they are now targeting Villas Boas, who is unlikely to leave Porto. The race for the bench is now between Walter Mazzarri of Napoli and the former Juventus player Antonio Conte, who brought Siena in Serie A this season.
