Cavani is too expensive – Marotta
Talking to GR Parlamento, the club’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed Juventus do not want to sell any of their best players.
Here’s a round-up of what he told the Italian press.
ON ALLEGRI – He can continue working with us for many years. He’s a great leader and Juventus is a top club. It is nothing easy to find a better one and his project is not ended yet, he can carry on winning with us.
DYBALA – Dybala can be already considered as a top-player and we are not even thinking about selling him. We can turn down whatever offer and we did it already. Buying him was a risky decision, because we invested lot of money on him, but we knew he has an amazing talent and he’s also very young. Cavani is an interesting player, but he costs too much.
CUADRADO , ZAZA, RUGANI – We had the chance of buying Cuadrado on loan and we are pondering if it is possible to keep him with us. We have a gentleman agreement with Chelsea. We received lot of offers for our players this past January, but we rejected a €30 million bid for Zaza and a € 20 million offer for Rugani.
POGBA – Pogba is an amazing player who can still give us a lot. It is normal to have up and downs when you are young, but if one make mistakes, it means he’s trying to do something. He’s an important asset for our club and we don’t want to lose him.
VIDAL, PIRLO, TEVEZ – It has been not easy to replace them, and we passed through a tough time at the beginning of the season. We opted to bring in young and promising players. Even if they have less experience than the ones who left, they can represent the future of the club.”
BOLOGNA + BAYERN – Good fortune plays an important role in a competition like the Champions League. For the first time this season we are going to meet a team which, on paper, is better than us. But we need to beat Bologna first.
