Candreva closer to Inter as agent holds new meeting with Lotito and Ausilio

Antonio Candreva is close to joining Inter. The nerazzurri director of sport Piero Ausilio met Federico Pastorello (player’s agent) and Claudio Lotito (Lazio president) yesterday night in order to convince Lazio to lower the player’s price-tag.

Lotito is still asking € 24 million, the same offer put on the table by Napoli last month, though the player snubbed a move to the San Paolo. According to Sky Italia, Ausilio will travel to the USA on Monday to watch the team during a preseason tournament and to meet Suining’s chiefs in New York.

New Inter ownership don’t want to spend more than € 20 million for a player who will turn 30 soon (in February) and are not open to add one more penny to their offer. Candreva, however, wants to go nowhere apart from Inter, which mean Lazio could lower the player’s price-tag, whilst Inter could eventually decide to make an improved offer for the player, leaving all parties happy and making Candreva’s dream of moving to Inter come true.
