The news item was in the air, but now it’s official: after the game lost to AS Roma, Udinese have decided to fire their first team’s head coach Stefano Colantuono. The club’s Sporting Director Cristiano Giaretta has explained that sacking Colantuono was a difficult decision, but the results and the ambiance gave no choice. The team, until the end of the season, will be coached by Luigi De Canio: the 58-year-old is at his second experience with the bianconeri, with whom he won the Intertoto Club.
