According to agent Dario Canovi, Marco Borriello has had enough of being just a reserve under Luis Enrique and has decided to leave Roma during the January transfer window. The list of admirers is incredibly long so Borriello should have no problems quitting the Olimpico, but the main issue is in regard to his hefty wage which not many Serie A teams would be able to afford.

“I believe it is his wish to prove himself thus Marco will ask Roma to be transfer listed,” said Dario Canovi. “For a player who has always been a regular in the past few seasons it is hard to settle for the bench. He wants football because that’s his passion, he doesn’t care about being on the front page of newspapers.”

Genoa, Cagliari and Napoli are reportedly interested in Borriello, but several clubs could join the list if Roma agreed to let him go.
