Despite recent reports claiming that Lazio captain Lucas Biglia was on the verge of signing a new deal in the Italian capital, it seems Liverpool are still determined to try to bring him to Anfield in January.
 

Only last week, TalkSport reported that the players agent Enzo Montepaone, had stated that despite concrete interest from both Liverpool and Arsenal, his client was happy in the Eternal City and would extend his stay with the biancocelesti. The 30-year-old Argentine international is currently out of action for three months with a muscle injury and now their looks to be a shift once more, to a possible departure.  

Having missed most of the opening two months of the campaign, Lazio have been in excellent form despite Biglia’s absence and currently sit in a Champions League berth in the Serie A table. His lack of playing time over recent seasons due to injuries will be cause of concern however for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, before he decides whether to make a move.
