Bentancur to Pescara? Milan on Kovacic, Mangala, Cuadrado, El Ghazi & Berta
Milan has received a €15 million boost to their transfer kitty from the new Chinese owners. In September, another €85 million will arrive but this will go straight Fininvest before an official takeover is concluded on November 4 when €400 million will be presented by Up Sports to acquire the 99.93% of the rossonero.
BENTANCUR TO PESCARA?
The €15 million payment is earmarked for Boca Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur but Juventus have first option on the youngster and have blocked any assault by Milan at this moment. The bianconeri plans to acquire the 19-year-old Uruguayan before loaning him out to another Serie A club with Pescara being the preferred destination.
MILAN ON KOVACIC
Corriere dello Sport states that the rossoneri will only give Bentancur another 48 hours to decide his future before turning their full attentions to Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic. A season-long loan-deal is possible with an obligation to purchase the player outright next summer.
CUADRADO
If this is the case then Milan will have one non-EU place available in the team and Juan Cuadrado is the player earmarked by coach Montella to fill it. If the Colombian does arrive from Chelsea, then one between Honda and Suso, who Galliani values at €10 million despite an offer of €7 million fron Celta Vigo, will make way.
NO TO NAPOLI FOR DE SCIGLIO
Staying with possible departures, Milan have now placed a €30 million price-tag on Italian international defender De Sciglio after Bacca’s refusal to move to West Ham. Napoli are interested but early advances have been blocked.
EYES TO MANGALA
Manchester City’s French defender Eliaquim Mangala is also on the rossoneri radar and the player is available to take on-loan after being surplus to requirements with Pep Guardiola. Ex Real Madrid defender Arbeloa is also a free-agent after being released by Los Blancos this summer.
EL GHAZI
From the same stable as Mangala comes 21-year-old Ajax striker Anwar El Ghazi. The Dutchman has returned onto the radar at Milanello in recent days but they will need extra funds at their disposal to bring him to the San Siro.
BERTA AS NEW DS?
Meanwhile Tuttosport claims that Atletico Madrid Sporting Director Andrea Berta is the favourite to become the new transfer guru at Milan. New CEO Fassone is currently looking at several candidates including Bigon and Prade to be part of the new era at the club.
