Inter boss, Rafa Benitez, is ready to play the World Cup for clubs. In the run up to the final against Mazembe, he said in a press conference at the Zayed Sports City stadium: "Reaching the final is always an important achievement. I got here with Liverpool but we lost despite playing well. I hope for a repeat performance with a different result, of course, and victory for Inter."

The he spoke of the opponents: "We've watched their games from last season's African Champions League and the ones they've played so far in this competition. Mazembe are a hard-working team, very strong physically, and they have some skillful individuals. On the formation: "Wesley won't make tomorrow's final but Eto'o is fine. Maicon did well in training yesterday and we have another session this evening, so we'll see, but we're hopeful he'll make it."
