Belgium need a manager like Conte, Wilmots must resign!
Belgium could have won the European Championship in 1992 or 1996 , when quality was much more important than organization, but modern football does not work this way. Pressing, organization and solidity at back are vital to win a summer competition, like the Copa America, a European Championship or the World Cup.
Iceland, Italy and Wales have proved they are spot on in terms of organization and solidity. Italy demonstrated against Belgium in the opening game of EURO 2016 as well.
The day after the azzurri win everyone claimed that it was the victory of Conte over Wilmots. Yesterday’s defeat was also the victory of Coleman over the confused Belgium coach.
Belgium need a true boss. A boss who is able to organize a defence which is with less quality than the rest of the team a manager who would never do without Radja Nainggolan and might call Yuri Tielemans and Dimitri Payet.
Conte is not doing miracles with Italy, he’s only following a clear tactical plan and a clear idea of football. Wilmots and Hodgson were probably the most incompetent team of EURO 2016. The former England coach decided to hand his resignation after the humiliating defeat against Iceland, when will Wilmots follow Mr. Roy’s example?
