Batistuta: proposal for honorary citizenship of Florence
Argentine striking legend Gabriel Batistuta may be about to become an honorary citizen of Florence. The city's Mayor, Dario Nardella has written on his Facebook page that "I have proposed to the President of the Municipal Council, Caterina Biti, to confer honorary citizenship of Florence to the great Batistuta. There is an extraordinary bond between our city and a champion who has given so much to the florentine people. He still loves the city where 3 of his sons were born".
