Barcelona, Vidal freezes out both Inter and Milan; "I would be stupid to leave a squad like this""
Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal has been talking to BEINSport about his difficult time at the Camp Nou. The 27-year-old has found regular first-team football hard to come by and has been linked with a January move to both Inter and Milan. As rumours continue about his immediate future, Vidal remains upbeat.
In this latest interview however, he explained that; “It’s been hard and it’s impossible to be happy when you’re not attaining the best results despite all your hard work. My future? I would be stupid to leave a squad like this and it’s not true that I have a bad rapport with coach Luis Enrique. He is the kind of boss that allows you to turnaround any situation”.
Despite these comments, January will be a critical month in deciding the future of the player who has been reduced to just 10 appearances for the blaugrana since he moved from Sevilla in 2015.
