Barcelona intend to make a splash in the transfer window to bring Miralem Pjanic to the Camp Nou, the Corriere della Sera understands.

The Roma midfielder is apparently worth a €40 million investment, which the Giallorossi would presumably have to take seriously. Current Blaugrana manager Luis Enrique coached Pjanic the season he was brought to the Italian capital, and the midfield maestro left a good impression.

The 25-year-old Bosnian international is arguably in the form of his Roma career. He’s certainly learned from the best: having scored ten free kicks in his Roma career (including three this season alone) , it’s hard not to see Juninho Penambucano and Francesco Totti’s fingerprints all over Pjanic’s growth.

Nobody in Europe has scored as many free kicks as the former Lyon player so far in the campaign, and few players are as important to Roma as he is, carrying the team on his back with his play, and by adding one goal in open play and four assists.
