Barcelona DS praises Dybala, explains why they didn't sign Pogba
Talking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, former AC Milan and current Barcelona International director of sport Ariedo Braida has praised the Argentinean star.
“He’s among the players I’d sign alongside Buffon. The loss of Pogba is important, but the club have already proved they can replace everyone making great signings. They need another midfielder, I hope they will be competitive in Europe, but I want Barcelona to win the Champions League next season.”
“Dani Alves is an amazing signing for them. Everyone loves him here, but he wanted to challenge himself to see if he’s still at the top, they’ve signed a great player.”
“Economic reasons are more than enough to explain why Barcelona have nor made an attempt to sign Pogba. You can’t question Pogba’s qualities but if he doesn’t play each game at the highest levels, there will be criticisms. People think he must win games on his own, which is not possible. Pressure must be huge for him now.”
“No player’s worth all that money, all players are overvalued. We are talking about an operation of € 150 million, salary excluded. Sometimes there is just too much gap with normal life.”
“I will always be grateful to Berlusconi and Galliani, now I can say I’d like to see what AC Milan back at the top. We were a role model, AC Milan’s is one of the brands with the most impact worldwide, who has bought AC Milan, has bought the past, but I like to talk about the future. I am not going to retur, one has to look ahead, not I am focused on Barcelona.”
