Inter has always been his priority, day after day for the past 18 years, Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has been working for the good of the nerazzurri. Not one for courting publicity, when he does speak he is a man of few words but the fans have learnt to appreciate this method of working because he always puts the club first.
 

For these very reasons, he is one of the most respected Sporting Directors in Italian football. West Ham, Spurs, Bologna and Sampdoria are just some of the clubs who have tried to secure his services but his reply has always been the same; thanks but no thanks. New owners the Suning Group have also quickly realised that he is to be trusted and the increasing involvement of Kia Joorabchian has not undermined his role with in the club. His involvement with Inter is a collaboration of trust with the Chinese, built up over many years and he is seen as an aid to Ausilio, not a hindrance.   

It’s time to consider Ausilio’s renewal with the nerazzurri; when the current transfer window closes he will go on a well-deserved vacation with his family before dealing with this subject. If an agreement is not found by the end of October, Ausilio will think about evaluating other proposals. The new CEO of Milan, Marco Fassone, worked alongside Ausilio for many years at Inter and he would be delighted to be re-united with his friend at Milanello. The future looks uncertain for Ausilio, Milan waits patiently for news of his future.
