Ausilio: "Sack de Boer? That would be stupid. Inter have watched Joao Mario for four years".

A day of presentation at Inter as Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario was officially unveiled to the media. Sporting Director Piero Ausilio explained that; “We started out interest in him four years ago when the Primavera team of Andrea Stramaccioni played Sporting Lisbon. Joao Mario had a great game and showed glimpses of his quality. Time has proved us to be right and although we tried to sign him when he was much cheaper, Sporting refused but we are so happy he has arrived now”.

Ausilio also commented on the rumours surrounding the future of coach Frank de Boer and his possible dismissal if the nerazzurri fail to get anything out of the derby d’Italia against Juventus; “I should really use strong words but this is just stupidity. We have to work hard, speak little and look how to solve the problems. Yesterday was an ugly game but three wins will be enough to progress to the next phase. We are convinced we will come out of this tunnel and Sunday gives us a great opportunity”.
