Atletico Madrid star set for contract extension

According to AS, Atletico Madrid ace Yannick Ferreira Carrasco is set to sign a new contract with the club. The Belgian winger is being linked with a move to Barcelona and the Colchoneros want to offer him a new contract to ward off interest of their rivals for the Spanish title.

Carrasco has one goal in nine appearances with Atletico Madrid this term and scored in last year’s Champions League final against Real Madrid, though his goal did not prevent his side from losing the second successive final against their city rivals.
