Atalanta star Gomez: 'Gasperini's arrival a shock'
“I feel good, 100%," he told the Eco di Bergamo, "The first month with Coach Gasperini was a shock, I’d never worked so hard, I wasn’t used to that kind of workload”.
The Argentine playmaker was a central feature of the Orobici's attack last season, and looks to have a similar role this season, despite Franck Kessie's red-hot start.
“Objectives? I’m thinking of Atalanta. I know that people are expecting a lot from me, I realize that, but I aim to always improve and always do better.
“I’d like to score more goals, and provide more assists”.
Author of 7 goals and as many assists in league play last season, El Papu also sounds like the ideal team-mate, claiming that he'll "never make a fuss over where I'm used: I play where the Coach wants me to”.
