AS Roma prepare offer for Depay: details

AS Roma star Mohammed Salah is being ruled out for several months with an ankle ligament rupture  and the Serie A giants are seeking a replacement for the Egypt International who could also be forced to skip the incoming African Cup of Nations with his national team.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Memphis Depay tops AS Roma January transfer shopping list and that the giallorossi are preparing an offer to sign the Dutch winger.

The Italian paper claims that Manchester United are open to sell the 22-year-old on loan with a € 25 million option to buy. The Serie A giants are preparing their offer for Depay also considering the player’s wages as the Holland International is on a € 4 million-a-year deal and the Serie A giants’ finances do not allow them to meet the player’s salary requests.

AS Roma remain very interested in signing Depay in January, but they still have to find the right forumla to persuade both Manchester United and their wantaway winger.
