Arsenal seek midfield reinforcement as Cazorla ruled out for three months

Arsenal are facing quite a huge injury blow as their midfield star Santi Cazorla is being ruled out for three months with  ankle injury. British media reports that the Spaniard will have to undergo surgery and could return to action between February and March.

Before picking up his injury, Cazorla had been playing a key role for Arsenal with two goals scored and three assists registered in 11 appearances. The former Malaga star, however, is being sidelined since the end of October with a Achilles irritation which is not letting up forcing the Spaniard to undergo surgery.

Arsenal will seek for some midfield reinforcement in the January transfer window in order to fill the gap left by the absence of the talented midfielder. The Gunners will be probably looking for a midfielder who can also play the Champions League from February as Cazorla could be forced to skip the first two games of the knock-out stage.
