Ancelotti telephones Gotze: he can leave. From Juventus to Liverpool, the scenario
A telephone call that changes your life; that is certainly the case for Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze who will leave the German champions after three years after being told by new manager Carlo Ancelotti, that he doesn’t figure in his future plans. German outlet Süddeutsche Zeitung states that the former Borussia Dortmund star will seek pastures new after receiving the news from the Italian tactician.
THE CALL FROM KLOPP
The man who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup Final, does not want another season sat on the bench and will leave Bavaria with a year still to run on his current deal. For Juventus, who showed interest last summer, he’s not considered a priority target which leaves Liverpool in the box seat to grab his signature. With his former mentor Jurgen Klopp at the helm at Anfield, the Premier League side will be able to take the player for a fee in the region of €18-20 million.
