Ancelotti: 'I'd like to return to the Premier League'
“I won’t get back to coaching until the end of the year at the very least," Carletto told the Corriere dello Sport.
“As recently as a few weeks ago I was terrified that someone would call me. Now, I’m thinking of making a return.
"Unless something unexpected happens, I’ll be ready to get back in the saddle in January."
Ancelotti's interview was no less candid when expressing his preferred destination, the Premier League, whilst dropping hints about the pressure that comes with football management.
“I’d like to return to the Premier League. It isn’t the ideal environment for football, but for how it is played. People work hard there, but with the right amount of pressure, with calm and the necessary detachment."
Having coached in such nerve-shattering environments as PSG, Real Madrid, Chelsea and AC Milan, one would be justified in thinking that Ancelotti deserves a break.
“I’ll have to start to consider retirement in five or six years. Back when I began my coaching career with Reggiana, I promised myself I’d get out after five years, tops. Twenty-five years on…I’m still here!
The former Roma and Azzurri mainstay added his prediction for this year's EPL title race.
“I think Manchester City will win the title, they have the best squad, one of exceptional quality.”
