    Allegri: ‘Winning is what matters’

Juventus snatched their third successive Serie A victory this term beating Milan 1-0 in a Serie A clash. The gap between Massimilano Allegri’s side and the Serie A leaders Roma, Inter and Fiorentina is six points, although the Nerazzurri and La Viola played one match less that Juve and Roma.

Talking to Sky Sport Italia, the 48-year-old manager showed his satisfaction for the victory over Juventus’ hated rivals.

“We didn’t play very well but what winning is what matters, I could see an improvement there. We won our third Serie A match straight, it was a good night, let’s hope it will be the same on Wednesday.”

“I opted to start with a 4-3-1-2 system, because I thought that an offensive midfielder would have prevent Montolivo to have time and space to play the ball. Unfortunately we made too many mistakes as we haven’t done the right movements between the lines.”

“Now we have four days to recover before most important game of this season. We need to qualify for the Champions League knock-out stage straight away and avoid to battle it out in the last game against Seville.”

“Unfortunately I had to make two substitutions in the opening 45 minutes due to Evra’s and Hernanes’ injuries, so I could only insert one between Morata and Cuadrado.”

“Dybala is developing like all the others, but his growth is still not complete. He is among the players who are playing the most. He will become a great supporting striker. At the moment it is too hard for him to play as a sole striker in a huge team like Juve. His physical growth is also crucial, muscle of his legs are bigger. Power is important for a modern striker.”

“I am also happy about Mario Mandzukic, he is fit for the first time in the season. His work helped Dybala a lot and he also shot a couple of times. His team-mates have to understand his movements a bit more, when it will happen he’ll score more.”
