Allegri: 'Dybala won't play, Juventus were terrified against Genoa'
Paulo Dybala is unlikely to start in Juventus' weekend clash with Atalanta, says Coach Max Allegri.
With a busy period coming up (the Derby with Torino, and the meeting with Roma the following week) the Livornese Coach spoke to media in a press conference, revealing that his team had had "half an hour of terror" in last week's 3-1 loss to Genoa, in which the Grifone went 3-0 up in the first half.
“Dybala participated in half of the training session, he could be called up to get him back into a game atmosphere, but he’s unlikely to play. He’ll certainly have more room Wednesday”.
CUADRADO - "Ha avuto un piccolo problemino, ma sta meglio e valuteremo se farlo giocare".“He’s had a small problem, we’ll see if he is better, and whether he can play”. MANDZUKIC-HIGUAIN - “They could play together, they’re working better as a duo”.
THE GENOA GAME - ”How do we get over it? Time fixed everything. There will be some difficult times during a season, we had 30 minutes in which we were terrified.
“A team can’t let itself get brought down by these things. For the first time in three months we’ve been working all together this week, it can’t do us but good. A team needs to learn from a beating, and avoid it happening again”.
CHIELLINI, BARZAGLI RECOVERING - “It looked like we could have done with a funeral on Sunday, but we’ve improved day by day. Chiellini is all right, and so are Marchisio and Barzagli, who is progressing well. Pjaca is running and Dybala is coming back. Good news is not in short supply”.
THE DEFENCE - “We have six defenders, one or two will be left out. We’ll play with a three-man defence, with Benatia instead of Bonucci”.
PJANIC AND KHEDIRA - “I’m happy with what he’s doing, just as the club is. Khedira? He’s playing more often, he’s already had 20 games, so it’s normal that he brings less intensity”.
