Alessandro Matri set for AC Milan comeback as Lazio fail to make striker’s move permanent

Alessandro Matri will come back to AC Milan at the end of the season, when his loan spell at Lazio will be over, Il Messaggero claims.

Matri, 31, joined AC Milan in summer 2013 but has only played 19 games with the Rossoneri since then as the Serie A giants loaned him out to Fiorentina, Genoa, Juventus and Lazio after he had completed his San Siro switch.

The former Juventus hit-man has scored seven goals in 29 appearances this term, not enough to convince Lazio to make his Olimpico stay permanent.

Despite AC Milan’s plan to restyle their attacking force next season, the Rossoneri would probably decide to loan Matri out to another Italian team or even selling him, should they receive the right offer.
