Agents deny that Brazilian flop is on the verge of leaving Inter

Felipe Melo’s agents at Promoesport have released an official statement which claims that the Brazilian midfielder is not going to leave Inter in the January transfer window.
Yesterday’s reports suggested that the former Galatasaray and Juventus man is not part of Inter’s long term plans and that the 33-year-old is set to leave the Serie A giants in the incoming transfer window amid interest of Brazilian and Chinese clubs.

Former Galatasaray boss Cesare Prandelli, however, is also reported to be interested in taking Felipe Melo to Valencia, but Promoesport have also specified that their client is not heading to Valencia.

“As for reports of Spanish media regarding a possible move of Felipe Melo to Valencia, we want to specify that the player has received no offers from the Spanish club, although Melo has enormous respect for both the club and its manager.

Melo has only played 192 minutes so far this season and despite his agents’ denials, the player is not part of the club’s long-term plans.
