Agent: 'Valdifiori left because Napoli will always start the same guys'

Torino's summer transfer window has been impressive, to say the least. Malcontent Nikola Maksimovic has left for a rich bounty, whilst the likes of Joe Hart, Adem Ljajic, Iago Falque and Mirko Valdifiori have all joined Sinisa Mihajlovic's team.

Valdifiori's agent went on radio today to reveal the details behind his client's move North.

“Sarri didn't want to let Valdifiori go because of how he would have come in handy in that particular system,” Mario Giuffredi told Radio CRC, “more so than last year.

“Valdifiori has left Naples too soon, but I'm also certain that the same guys will always play, just like last season. That being considered, Mirko wants to return to being a key player, and maybe earn a call-up to the national team”.

Giuffredi then explained that Amadou Diawara's arrival helped convince Naples to get rid of Valdifiori, who joined Naples last year along with Sarri, his Coach at Empoli. He quickly lost his starting place to Jorginho, however.

“My lobbying and Diawara's acquisition played a part, as well as Sinisa Mihajlovic's pressure did the rest”.
