Agent: 'Inter sent feelers for Perin in summer, he's better than Donnarumma'
His agent has confirmed that the Nerazzurri expressed an interest in the 23-year-old.
“There was a light survey, “Matteo Roggi told TeleGenova, “but we’re are tied to Genoa at present, and if it was for Mattia, he’d stay here”.
“It’s early to talk about [his future], but the window is far away and we need to think of the present. It’s clear that if he keeps this up offers will come and we’ll evaluate them”.
Roggi then claimed that his client was better than a fellow goalkeeping prospect, one whom many have calling to replace Gianluigi Buffon in Italy’s setup: “Donnarumma had the advantage of playing for AC Milan. Perin deserves more time on the pitch with Italy”.
“Donnarumma is a great goalkeeper, but I think he needs at least two more seasons to reach Perin’s level”.
Asked about his client’s future, Perin’s agent claimed that “he’s only 24 years old, he’s having a tough time with Italy, stuck between two important goalkeepers, but I’m sure he’ll manage.
