Agent: 'Digne wants to stay at Roma'
"He's played a great season, perhaps the best of his career" Mikkel Beck told GFFN, "He really benefitted from moving to another country, from playing with new team-mates, working with new coaches and in a different environment [a little dig at PSG, perhaps? ed].
"It's been a marvellous year, he'd like to remain in Rome. Obviously, he has a contract with PSG and the two clubs would have to agree to it, but the ideal scenario for us would be to know before the Euros so that he be 100% focussed on the tournament".
We had previously reported that the Frenchman was set to leave, with Roma unhappy to pay his release clause (€18 million), which is quite expensive. That said, it would very likely be worth it, as he's been arguably the best left-back in the league this year, and is only 22. Young talent and Italy need to get together more often.
