ADL and Sarri’s ongoing battle over Marko Rog, who could go on loan in January | by Giovanni Scotto

It’s not been an easy time for Marko Rog so far in Naples. Having cost president De Laurentiis €15 million (bonuses included), the young Croatian has yet to really figure in Napoli’s gameplan this season.

Napoli’s owner isn’t so enthusiastic about his, having previously “suggested” to Coach Maurizio Sarri that he use the 21-year-old… via Twitter!

Tonight could be decisive: with Amadou Diawara making his debut last week, there is a chance that the Croatian may do the same.

Were he to not figure, however, the possibility of a January loan “Paredes-style” could well become a reality. Coach Sarri likes the idea, having resisted attempts at starting the Croatian, citing his lack of fitness, his struggles with Italian, his inability to integrate and even his problems with the local food as reasons to keep him out.

De Laurentiis really doesn’t want to see the youngster go, but he wants to respect his Coach, especially when it would allow Rog to not waste the current season.
