AC Milan: Traoré to Turkey. Inter: interest for Cannavaro denied
At the beginning of the Summer transfer window, one of AC Milan’s goals was reducing their team to 25 players, but, as highlighted by calciomercato.com, some must have gone wrong as there are actually 35 rossoneri in coach Massimiliano Allegri’s group. Regarding the defense, 31 year old Cristian Zaccardo was expected to join Napoli as part of a swap involving 32 year old Paolo Cannavaro, but has finally remained. For whar concerns the offensive line, 18 year old forward Mbaye Niang has not been loaned to another team, as expected, and so will risk to spend a lot of time on the bench, expecially when 29 year old Giampaolo Pazzini will recover from his knee injury; similar situation for 21 year old Stephan El Shaarawy, even if yesterday his agent Roberto La Florio has turned out the rumours regarding Napoli interest. Regarding the midfield, 28 year old Antonio Nocerino was considered an Inter target but has finally stayed, while, on the contrary, same-aged Bakaye Traoré is about to join Kayseri Erciyesspor. Today there have also been some rumours regarding the possibility to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Mohamed Sissoko, actually a free-agent, but such news item doesn’t seem credible.
Also city rivals Inter Milan were considered a suitor for Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro, but, interviewed by the Corriere dello Sport, the nerazzurri’s Technical Director Marco Branca has denied that his club was thinking about a swap involving the 32 year old and Marco Andreolli.
