AC Milan to offer star winger new deal
The Spanish winger is impressing under Vincenzo Montella so far this season with two goals and four assists in the opening 14 games of the season and new Chinese owners will immediately enter new contract talks once the club’s takeover is completed on the 2nd of December.
Suso, a former Liverpool starlet, swapped the Reds with AC Milan in January 2015 for just € 200.000 but had failed to impress at the San Siro before joining Genoa on a loan deal last January. The Spanish winger scored six goals and registered two assists in 19 games with the grifone last term and new AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella has decided to give him a chance at AC Milan too.
Suso’s € 1 million-a-year deal expires in June 2019, but new Chinese owners want to extend the player’s stay beyond that date. The two parties will meet between the December and January and the Serie A club are expected to offer the talented winger a contract extension with pay rise.
As for Mattia De Sciglio, neither the cub nor the player are in rush to sign a contract extension, whilst Vincenzo Montella sees no reason to extend Keisuke Honda’s deal as the Japan star’s deal expires at the end of the season. New Shanghai SIPG boss Andre Villas Boas would welcome the former CSKA Moscow with opened arms, but Honda wants to fight for a place in AC Milan’s starting XI to convince the club to offer him a new deal.
