AC Milan to meet Palermo for Vazquez despite denials
Maurizio Zamparini’s words on this issue have been pretty controversial as Palermo President had confirmed he would have meet Milan to negotiate Vazquez’s sale, before denying (24 hours later) he would have never open transfer talks with Silvio Berlusconi.
Well, despite denials, Milan are going to make an attempt to sign the Argentinean star with Italian passport when Silvio Berlusconi will meet Maurizio Zamparini in Rome.
Milan’s owner wants a ‘pure’ trequartista to play behind the two strikers in a 4-3-1-2 system. As Berlusconi himself revealed yesterday, he would play Giacomo Bonaventura in that position for now, before giving the keys of Milan’s final third to the 26-year-old from next season.
Vazquez’s contract at the La Favorita expires in 2019 and the player costs approximately € 20 million.
AC Milan, by the way, would prefer to get a small discount on the player’s price-tag and the meeting between Berlusconi and Zamparini will be useful to open transfer talks for the former club Atletico Berlgrano ace.
