AC Milan target Keita Balde set for new Lazio contract
Today’s edition of La Repubblica reports that Lazio offered the player a new € 1.1 million a year deal last summer but the player refused the club’s offer amid interest of other clubs. The Senegalese striker went through hard times at Lazio last summer as he failed to show up for the first training session of the season, but Simone Inzaghi has apparently found a solution for the winger’s troublesome character making him become one of the top performers of the Serie A side this season.
The player’s entourage has asked a salary of € 2 million a year and the two parties are going to meet pretty soon trying to find an agreement and make Keita Balde sign a new contract with the capitolines.
AC Milan are monitoring the situation and are still interested in signing the versatile striker. New Chinese owners are planning to bring in big names during the winter transfer window and Keita is one of the names topping to rossoneri shopping list. If he fails to agree a new contract with Lazio, AC Milan could try to place a January bid for the talented 22-year-old striker.
