AC Milan shareholders want guarantees than new owners will strengthen squad

Milan’s imminent takeover from a Chinese consortium hasn’t reassured everyone.

The Rossoneri’s shareholders (who own something like 0.07% of the club) have recently written a letter to the club’s presumptive new owners, written by noted lawyer Giuseppe La Scala.

They ask for guarantees that the 100 million Milan were supposed to receive by January will be invested in the transfer window.

Here’s the letter (in Italian), as transcribed by MilanNews.it.

There’s a problem, however: Fininvest (who own Milan)’s deal with the Consortium doesn’t mention the transfer window at all.

As a matter of fact, it alludes to the “patrimonial and financial reinforcement of AC Milan”.

This isn’t the first time that the Rossoneri’s leadership has been questioned by the shareholders, who got very angry a few months ago at CEO Adriano Galliani, and the fact that their nominations to Milan’s board had been rejected.

The closing is hardly a guarantee, too, with all this fake document stuff coming out…
