AC Milan news: KP Boateng to start Carpi clash in place of Bertolacci?
The Italian tactician tried out a formation with KP Boateng playing as offensive midfielder behind the two strikers during today’s training session, CM.com’s Federico Albrizio has reported.
Brocchi wants to move Bonaventura in midfield in place of Andrea Bertolacci who failed to live up to his potential also during last week-end’s Marassi clash.
In the same game Bonaventura showed a tendency to play on the right flank (he assisted Carlos Bacca from that position) and Brocchi would prefer a trequartista who can make more movements towards the central area of the pitch.
Boateng has only scored one goal in this campaign and has showed a poor form for since joining the San Siro utfit in January. Despite that, Brocchi seems convinced to start the former Ghana International against Carpi.
Boateng’s contract runs until the end of the season and some good performances in the final games of the campaign could convince the club to keep him at Milanello also for the 2016-17 campaign.
