AC Milan, Montella confirms Bacca a doubt for Crotone clash

AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella has held a classic pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Crotone and the Italian tactician has confirmed that the Colombian striker Carlos Bacca is still in doubt for the rossoneri home game against the Serie A relegation candidates.

“We’ll evaluate his physical conditions today. He [Bacca] is not having the same goal-per-game ratio that he used to have, but I think he played an amazing game against Inter, like Lapadula against Empoli.”

“I gave Bacca the permission to go to Sevilla last week, we knew he was there but we didn’t know he was attending the game. There is no problem for me anyway. I think he watched our game afterwards.”

Talking about the support of fans, Montella has said: “We are doing well and we’ve learnt that fans stand by our side. They always support us and I think they approve what we are proposing in terms of quality.”

As for the transfer market: “I’m not going to reveal which players we need to sign in January, it’s just too early”

And, in the end, one last update on injured players: “Montolivo will return in 2017, I hope Bonaventura and Mati are eligible to play next week.”
