AC Milan, Mirabelli to sign one centre-back and one winger in January: all the candidates

AC Milan, Mirabelli to sign one centre-back and one winger in January: all the candidates

Marco Fassone has chosen Massimo Mirabelli as AC Milan’s new director of sport. The former Inter chief scout officially left the nerazzurri yesterday and is now ready to begin a new chapter of his career in the other side of Milan.

As today’s edition of Tuttosport reports, Mirabelli tried to persuade Inter chiefs not to sign Kondogbia in summer 2015, but the club decided to sign the French midfielder anyway and everybody knows how disappointing the former AS Monaco star has been until now.

However, Mirabelli will have to work hard to bring AC Milan back to the top of European and Italian football. The rossoneri need to sign a new centre-back as well as a winger.

San Paolo’s Rodrigo Caio is the priority target in defence. The promising Brazilian centre-back is also chased by PSG. The French side have still no agreement for the contract extension of Thiago Silva and the experienced defender could be another possible defence partner of Alessio Romagnoli, but only in June as AC Milan have no more spots available for non-EU players.

Lazio’s Keita Balde is the man Mirabelli wants to sign to strengthen AC Milan’s attacking force. The Spaniard is back in the biancocelesti starting XI, but has not extended his contract with the club yet and his agent is still waiting for the right offer from him to leave.

Thiago Maia, Brazilian centre-midfielder, is also one of Mirabelli’s favourite, but the Chelsea target can’t join the San Siro in January as he’s also a non-EU player.
