AC Milan: dreaming Modric. Inter: problems for Dragovic

“If one player leaves, another one could join”: this is AC Milan’s transfer market strategy, as indicated by their Chief Executive Adriano Galliani, who seems frimly intentioned to keep his word: for the moment the rossoneri have in fact signed some interest youngsters like Sampdoria 23 year old midfielder Andrea Poli and Empoli 21 year old attacking midfielder Riccardo Saponara, but seem to have some difficultied to achieve some important targets: for example, as well known, the Lombard club is keen on 27 year old attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda, whose contract with CSKA Moscow will expire at the end of the season, and the Russian club’s General Manager Roman Babaev has told R-Sport that Milan can forget to sign the Japan international during the current transfer window by paying only 2 million euros. As reported by Sky transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the rossoneri still hope to obtain Honda immediately thanks to the help of his personal sponsor, but, in any case, they keep on working to sell some of their players: as highlighted by calciomercato.com, in fact, Galliani has offered 29 year old forward Robinho, 30 year old full back Luca Antonini and 26 year old midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng to Monaco, and hopes to earn an important amount from the French giants. Meanwhile, the rumours regarding the Lombard club’s interest for some important players continue, and, according to IlSussidiario.net, the rossoneri are also thinking about Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, whose contract seems, in any case, difficult to afford for Milan.

Also city rivals Inter Milan are leaving a similar situation, and, as reported by the same media, the negotiation for Basel 22 year old defender Aleksandar Dragovic is at the moment on stand-by, awaiting for the departures of 28 year old Matias Silvestre and 25 year old Andrea Ranocchia. On the contrary, as reported by Tuttosport, 25 year old right back Mauricio Isla seems always closer: the nerazzurri have already found an agreement with Juventus, and must now negotiate with Udinese, who hold the co-ownership of the Chile international.
