AC Milan: Allegri wants to keep Cassano. Inter: Moratti confirms interest for Lucas
In the last days there have been some rumours regarding the possibility for 30 year old forward Antonio Cassano to leave AC Milan during the current transfer window: during a long interviewed accorded to RTL 102,5, the Lombars club's coach Massimiliano Allegri has declared that the Italy national will remain, and that he is very happy of the good job done by the player during the pre-season. The rossoneri's priority remains the signing of a center back to replace Thiago Silva, and, interviewed by Sky Sport, Torino president Urbano Cairo has declared that Milan have not asked him 24 year old Angelo Ogbonna. As announced yesterday, 23 year old left back Didac Vilà has joined Valencia, but, as reported by El Mundo Deportivo, the player has not passed the medicals, so his transfer to the Spanish club remains on stand-by. To replace the young Spanyard and Taye Taiwo, Milan are thinking about Napoli 30 year old Andrea Dossena, but the player's agent has denied to Sportitalia such possibility. For sure Milan will have to renounce to 30 year old Federico Balzaretti, who has signed tonight a three year deal with AS Rome.
Also Inter Milan are interested in Dossena, but the nerazzurri, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, are also thinking about 25 year old Royston Drenthe, actually without a contract. Regarding the midfield, if 30 year old Gaby Mudingayi will demonstrate to be a reliable player, the nerazzurri could renounce to FC Porto 24 year old Fernando, and save some more money for their main target, Sao Paulo attacking midfielder Lucas Moura. The Lombard club's president Massimo Moratti, while announcing that a Chinese group will be part of his club, has confirmed the interest for the 19 year old, but only at certain conditions. Bayer Leverkusen 22 year old André Schuerlle is considered an alternative to the Brazil national, but his father Joachim has denied to Express any contact with Inter.
